Nancy Dykstra, RN,MA,APRN,BC  Executive Director

Nancy is a board certified clinical specialist in community health nursing.  Nancy comes to her role at the Health Center following 13 years of public health services in Sioux County.  Dykstra has been a nurse for 35 years.  Her practice included work in a medical ICU at Iowa City, instructor Iowa Lakes Community College, and Director of CHEARS.                                

Noreen O’Shea, DO  Family Physician

I am a family physician.  College Degree Biology/Theology from Creighton University, Omaha.  D.O. degree from Des Moines University.  Rotating internship in Pontiac, MI then back to Creighton for Family Medicine Residency.  First Practice in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky at Breathitt County Community Health Center.  I have since worked in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York in and around Sioux City for the last 15 years.  Much of that time has been spent working at Community Health Centers in Sioux City and  South Dakota.              

Beth Strub, ARNP  Nurse Practioner

Beth Strub, is a native of LeMars Iowa with deep roots in Sioux County.  Married to Mark with four children ages 21, 19, 16, and 13.  Nurse Practioner with 14 years experience in  Women’s Health and Family Medicine.

Belinda Lassen,  Certified Nurse Midwife

I am a Registered Nurse.  I received my Associates Degree in Nursing from Northwest Iowa Community College.   I have experience in long term care and family medicine.  I’m from Hawarden, Iowa where I live with my 7 year old daughter.

Belinda Lassen is a much respected  Nurse Midwife who has practiced in Sioux Center for many years.  Belinda has delivered hundreds of babies in our area.

Angelica Perez graduated from Sioux Center High School in the spring of 2008, and is currently attending Northwestern college in Orange City, and is majoring in graphic design with a minor in business and Spanish.

Ruth Potter,  born and raised in Sioux Center.  Graduated from ISU with a degree in Spanish.  Enjoys interpreting and interacting with  Hispanics as well as embracing their culture.

I was born in Mexico, and have been in the U.S. 18 years.  During my study of social work in Mexico, I got married and have 3 daughters.  Two have gone to NWC in Orange City.  My youngest daughter is 11 and is enrolled in S.C. Public School.  My husband works at the Sioux Center Vet Clinic.  I enjoy working with the Latino and American cultures.  It is very important for my daughters to have both languages.    

Marsha Bomgaars is an Orange City native.  She received her BA in Business Administration-Finance from Northwestern College in Orange City.  Marsha is married to Jason and they have 2 boys ages 11 and 14.  Marsha enjoys reading, scrapbooking and being involved in her children’s activities.

I graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in Sioux City, IA in 1962.  I have worked in OB-GYN in Virginia, have worked part-time nights in Sioux Center Hospital.  Then worked at Mid-Sioux Opp. As a Head Start nurse, and later for WIC a total of 27 yrs with MSO.  I have 5 children and live on a dairy farm west of Sioux Center.

Jessica Castelan,  Receptionist/Interpreter

My name is Jessica Castelan, I am originally from Mexico but I have been living in Sioux Center for 13 years.  I graduated from Iowa State University with a psychology major and a minor in Spanish.  I enjoy helping people and spending time with my family and friends.

Ashley Van Voorst,  RN   Clinical Nurse

I am working as a Registered Nurse here at the GSCHC.  I am a graduate from Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, IA with my Associates Degree in Nursing.  I have experience in long term care and most recently family medicine.  I am married to Mark and we have two children Landan who is 5 and Ava who is 2.

Manivanh Baccam has a B.A. in Accounting from Northwestern College, in Orange City Iowa.  She has lived in Sioux Center for 11 years.  Manivanh has 2 children and loves cooking for her family, and enjoys meeting new people.

Stacie comes from a professional nursing background of family practice, public health,  home care, long term care/gerontology and women’s health nursing.  Stacie lives in LeMars with her husband and two sons.

Dr. Delywn “Del” Lassen, M.D.  Medical Director/Family Physician

Dr. Lassen earned his M.D. Degree from the University of Iowa in 1977 and completed a 3 year family practice residency in Sioux City.  While engaged in private family practice he served as a preceptor to medical students and family practice residents.  Lassen accepted a faculty appointment at the Medical  University of South Carolina in 1986 and later returned to Iowa where he continues to serve as a clinical assistant professor for the University of Iowa College of Medicine as he supervises physician residents via the Siouxland family practice residency program.

Dr. Ken. Addink, DDS     Dentist

Dr. Ken Addink is a local Dentist  from Sioux Center with a great heart for missions, who along with his wife, have volunteered to get our Dentistry program off the ground.  We plan to offer Dental Services by August  of 2010.
