Heading off potential conditions is an important focus of the GSCHC. Catching these conditions before they develop, can greatly improve the quality of life for many of our patients. Pre-Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and Weight Management are just a few of the conditions we would like to spot and prevent beforehand. |

GSCHC patients that need medication assistance may receive sealed tamper-proof medications for a $5.00 dispensing fee through this state program. The purpose of this program is to improve the health of low income Iowans by authorizing medical facilities to re-dispense prescription drugs and supplies that would otherwise be destroyed. |
Women have very special medical needs, and often conditions are misdiagnosed or missed completely due to the different way symptoms present themselves. Our team of Dr. O’Shea, Belinda our Midwife, and Julie and Beth, our Nurse Practitioners, are uniquely qualified to provide health services to Women. Combined, they have over 60 years experience. |
Our team of health care providers is dedicated to treating the entire family. Children are our most precious resource, and it is very important to protect them at this vulnerable stage of their lives. We are here to help for any health issue that comes up in a child’s life. General physicals, school physicals, and sports physicals are also provided to keep our kids healthy. |
Men are often not eager to seek out a Health Care Provider, but tend to be more prone to workplace accidents, as well as letting illness continue untreated. We are eager to encourage men to come to our clinic, and to work with their needs. Work Physicals and DOT physicals are also provided at our health center. |
Our health center has a wide variety of vaccinations available and administered through Iowa’s Vaccination for Children Program for ages 0 to 18. These include all required vaccines in Iowa. |

Dental Care |
Since opening our doors in 2008, it has become apparent that there is a great need for affordable dental care in our region. We have been working hard on our Brighter Smiles Fundraising Campaign since November of 2009. With the help of a local dentist and his dental hygienist wife, the Greater Sioux Community Health Center is planning on offering Dental Services in August of 2010. |
